A day in Kolkata - [3/3] : When I arrived in Kolkata, I was very sceptical about the places that I should visit. The reason being I was there for just one day in the city. Decided to go to Princep Ghat in the morning. Trust me when I say this, it is one of the most peaceful places in the city. The reason being it is away from the hustle and bustle, and is located along the beautiful banks of Hoogly river..

Named after orientalist James Princep, the Princep Ghat is perhaps the oldest recreational spot in Kolkata where you can just hang around with your friends. The bridge which you are seeing in the picture is the Vidyasagar Setu which is being overlooked by James Princep Memorial.
